Well another day has passed. Apparently, yesterday was the day that "dividend" checks were cut. Here in Alaska every native, including kids, gets a dividend check from the profits of the local native corporation. This time everyone got about $4500 bucks. So as you can imagine the school was pretty vacant today. I don't them blame them. If I was 16 and got a check like that I sure as heck wouldn't be in school today either. The funny thing was that the usual trouble makers all showed up today. I guess they were too cool to get excited about money.
